Our 20,000 lb max axle Ramp/Load Leveler Combo is the most desired product among step deck owner operators.  It is made up of 2 pairs (4 pieces) of 8-ft ramp and 2 support stands; thus creating a 16-ft modular system.  2 of the 4 sections of ramp also serve as 20,000 lb capacity Load Levelers.  This package offers the owner operator the capacity and versatility to haul just about any load available and avoid costly deadheading.

Our standard and most desired solution for the 102” step deck offers ramps that are 20” wide, but we offer widths from 16” to 26” also.  The 16-foot modular when used on a standard drop deck (Reitnouer, Transcraft, Benson, etc) creates a load angle shallow enough to load most cars, but offers the capacity needed to load dozers, wheel loaders, and other heavy equipment.

Our lower ramps typically have a Knife Point foot on them.  Our competitors will tell you our Knife Point ramps “curl” because they are “not designed for heavier capacities”.  We understand that there is a time for a Knife Point and a time for a Stub Toe ramp.  That is why we offer ALL of our ramps with EITHER a KNIFE POINT or a STUB TOE at NO EXTRA CHARGE!  Our competitors will tell you that they perform that “extra costly step” in manufacturing to give you the stub toe automatically, but look at the higher price of their products.  Their so called “stub toe upgrade” has already been built into their higher retail price.  WE DO NOT CHARGE YOU FOR IT!  Simply tell us what you desire.  If you are not sure what you need, one of our full-time, experienced sales representatives can explain the advantages of each.  Believe it or not, sometimes a Knife Point ramp can be a better option; even with a high capacity ramp.

The 96 lb upper sections of ramp also each serve as 20,000 lb capacity Load Levelers.  The “B-Hook” that is on both ends of the LL Ramp will pin into the vertical stake pocket brackets allowing the load leveler to be secured to the trailer.  One of the two vertical stake pocket brackets can be adjusted so the solution will work on any 102” wide trailer.  Each vertical stake pocket bracket has a notch to receive logging chains that must be used to stabilize the load leveler and prevent any rocking motion. Both the vertical brackets and the load itself must be strapped down per DOT standards.  “H-Clips” allow 6” wide dimensional lumber to be stacked on top of the LL if your step height requires it to balance your load.

Though the lower 86 lb ramps do not serve as Load Levelers in the standard kit, for a $300 upgrade charge we can manufacture them to be load levelers as well.  The additional 4 vertical stake pocket brackets and 6 H-Clips required are included in this $300 upgrade charge.

In our standard kit the center supports are not adjustable.  Why should we charge customers extra money for something they do not desire?  THE ANSWER: WE SHOULDN’T!  If you want adjustable center supports we can do it for a $50 upgrade charge, but we will let you make the choice. 

When used as ramps the package needs to be pinned to the trailer in order to secure them properly.  We use “Hook Seats” for this task.  Hook seats come in either steel or aluminum and are offered in various widths.  Aluminum hook seats can be either bolted or welded to the trailer, while steel hook seats are welded.  Talk to one of our fill-time sales representatives and find out what width of hook seat suits your needs the best.
